Fatal crash near Quarry Market

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – No charges are expected to filed against the driver who struck and killed a woman near the Quarry Market Wednesday evening.

Police say the driver of a Hyundai Elantra was westbound in the 100 block of Basse Road around 6:30 pm when a woman ran across the street.

The driver told police he saw the woman at the last minute as he was changing lanes . He  swerved, but was unable to avoid hitting her.

No charges are pending.
