SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A deadly crash forced the closure of a major highway Friday morning.

It happened at around 3 A.M on IH-35 South near Loop 1604.

A man in a small car ran into a traffic barrier and another vehicle hit his car. The impact ejected one of the motorists onto the highway.

Oncoming drivers didn’t see the man  and he was hit three times.

The first car that hit him didn’t stop but the others pulled over.

The deceased man’s name hasn’t been released and police are searching for the first driver who hit him.

A section of 35 southbound was closed during the investigation which created long lines of traffic heading into San Antonio.

The highway was re-opened at around 10 A.M.

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Three southbound lanes  IH-35 near Loop 1604 in Live Oak are closed following a fatal crash that involved several vehicles.

The wreck took place prior to 3 A.M. Traffic is backed up for several miles as vehicles are being sent to the access road to get around the crash site.
