SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Traffic is moving again at the location of a fatal crash early Tuesday morning, but the San Antonio Police Department still has questions left unanswered.
A pedestrian was found dead on eastbound Highway 90, near Loop 410, shortly before 6 a.m. Investigators say two cars were also found near the scene, and police say they had difficulty figuring out whether the person killed was male or female.
KSAT-TV reports both cars at the scene had damage and it is possible that both hit the person. It was not clear shortly after the accident if the pedestrian had been walking along the highway, trying to cross it, or had jumped off of an overpass.
One driver told police they had swerved to miss a kitchen sink that was in the road.
Parts of Highway 90 were closed for several hours before the scene was cleared up.
This is a developing story and it will be updated when possible.
