Feds to Drop Opposition to TX Voter ID Law

There’s word the Trump Administration will drop any federal opposition to Texas’ Voter ID law.

Danielle Lang with the Washington-based Legal Center said plaintiffs in the case have been told the Justice Department will file the paperwork to drop its opposition.

A federal appeals court ruled the law was discriminatory ahead of last year’s elections.

The Justice Department move under new Attorney General Jeff Sessions marks a clear reversal of the Obama Administration’s opposition to the law.
