FEMA Dollars Diverted to Illegals: Is This Legal?
Taxpayer dollars from FEMA are intended to support Americans during disasters. Yet, we’re seeing these funds diverted to illegal migrants.
Art Arthur, a fellow in law and policy at the Center for Immigration Studies, explains how FEMA’s Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) has strayed from its original purpose. Initially created to assist homeless Vietnam veterans, this program has ballooned under the Biden administration, skyrocketing from $30 million to an astounding $650 million by 2024.
So, what’s driving this dramatic increase in funding? The answer is straightforward: taxpayer money is being funneled into NGOs and blue state governments, leaving everyday Americans behind. While citizens struggle to recover from natural disasters, illegal immigrants are being prioritized.
By backing policies that promote illegal immigration, the government is draining the resources needed to support American citizens in crisis. Additionally, let’s consider the Department of Homeland Security’s ability to reprogram FEMA funds. Is this truly the government’s priority? Are they more focused on aiding illegal immigration than on helping Americans during emergencies?
This misallocation of resources should infuriate every American! Learn more here:
