Crews were called to the Residences at Medical apartments in the 2500 block of Babcock just after midnight.

Flames and smoke were coming through the roof when they arrived.

The fire was moving fast so a second alarm was sounded. More than two dozens units responded to the massive blaze.

All of the residents in the 8 apartment units were able to get out safely.

The cause hasn’t been determined but arson investigators are at the apartment complex.

The American Red Cross is there as well, assisting the families that have been displaced by the fire.
