Fire causes over $100,000 in damages at San Antonio food processing plant

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire at a San Antonio food processing plant.

Firefighters were called to the 700 block of Merida at around 9:30 P.M. Sunday.

They found the building was filled with smoke. They eventually located a cooler that was on fire.

The fire was extinguished quickly but it did over $100,000 in damages. Most of that was due to the amount of food that will have to be thrown out.

No injuries have been reported.
