Fire damages San Antonio apartment building, 10 people displaced

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — 10 people had to evacuate their homes as a fire ripped through a Southwest Side apartment building.

Crews were called to the building in the 1700 block of West Mayfield Boulevard at around 1:30 A.M. Tuesday.

They arrived to find flames shooting from the front of the building.

It didn’t take firefighters much time to extinguish the flames but there is still about $50,000 worth of damage to the structure. No injuries have been reported.

Investigators are working to determine how it started.
