Fire damages several units of San Antonio apartment complex, cause still under investigation

SA ANTONIO (KTSA News) — No injuries, but a lot of damage after a fire burned through a Northeast Side apartment building.

The San Antonio Fire Department says they were called to the corner of Park Crossing and Thousand Oaks Drive at around 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Crews say it appears the fire started on the first floor, then began spreading to the second.

The building’s residents were evacuated and crews fought the fire for nearly half an hour before they were able to get it under control.

In the end, 12 apartment units were damaged and a part of the building’s roof has collapsed.

The apartment complex is working to find new places to stay for the displaced residents.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
