Fire destroys one home, causes heavy damage to another on San Antonio’s North Side

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A North Side home totally destroyed, another heavily damaged in an early morning fire.

The San Antonio Fire Department says they were called to the 1400 block of Viewridge Drive just after 2 a.m. Monday.

Firefighters found flames coming from the first home, which has been declared a total loss.

They were able to keep the flames from spreading to a neighboring home but the the intense heat from the fire did about $20,000 in damage.

Firefighters say there was nobody home in the structure where the fire originated and no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
