SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s…..space junk?

A lot of Texans saw a large fireball streaking across the sky Sunday night.

Whatever it was put on quite a show that was picked up on cameras across East Texas. Reports of the fireball came in form Oklahoma and Louisiana as well.

According to the American Meteorology Society a computer model showed the fireball entered the atmosphere about 100 miles Northeast of San Antonio and flew Northwest across the sky until it flamed out near Austin.

Some local experts who looked at the video believe it was some space junk that fell from the Earth’s orbit while others say it was a meteorite the size of a small car.

Either way, it was quite spectacular and for those of us who missed the display, it was caught on video.
