Firefighters investigate cause of fatal fire on San Antonio’s North side

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — One person is dead and another seriously injured after a fire burned through a home on San Antonio’s North side.

Firefighters were called to a home in the 100 block of Brightwood Place at around 4:30 A.M. Monday.

Once inside, they discovered a man and a woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene while the man was brought to the hospital. There’s been no report on his condition.

It’s being reported that a third person may have been in the home and several pets were also killed in the fire.

Crews are still working to make sure the fire is fully extinguished and a cause hasn’t been determined.
