Firefighters rescue riders when roller coaster at SeaWorld San Antonio stops near peak

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Some SeaWorld San Antonio thrill seekers got a bit more excitement than they bargained for Sunday afternoon.

They were riding the “Wave Breaker: The Rescue Coaster” and they needed to be rescued when the coaster got stuck.

Riders were about to be sent down from one of the coaster’s peaks when it stopped.

The San Antonio Fire Department showed up and managed to get all of the riders down.

The rescue took about 3 hours and there’s been no word from the park on what caused the ride to stop.

No injuries were reported.
