First Lady Speaks at SXSW

The doubters inspired her. That’s what First Lady Michelle Obama told a gathering at South By Southwest in Austin Wednesday.

She was speaking at a Forum to discuss young girls and education. Obama shared stories about how people telling her to limit herself made her work harder.

“As I was trying to make my way and do good in school and apply to good colleges, there were always people around telling me what I couldn’t do. Always telling me how far I should only dream.”

Michelle Obama was joined by Queen Latifah, Missy Elliot, Sophia Bush and songwriter Dianne Warren.
