SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Videos that reportedly show a child dancing with a nearly nude drag queen at a Miami area restaurant has the attention of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

According to Tallahassee.com, the videos were recorded earlier this month at the R House restaurant during the establishment’s weekend “drag show brunch”.

One of the videos shows a child holding hands and dancing with one of the performers. Governor DeSantis held a press conference Wednesday where he told reporters that it is wrong for children to attend drag shows and “not consistent” with “policy in the state of Florida.”

“It is a disturbing trend on our society to try to sexualize these young people.”

The videos were shared on social media and has resulted in state officials filing a complaint with the Florida Department of Business against R House. It accuses the establishment of being a public nuisance

DeSantis says agents were sent to investigate the business once the videos surface online.

“Not only were there minors there, and these are sexually explicit drag shows, the bar actually had a children’s menu”.

The Governor says the actions are “unacceptable”.

R House, which has to offer a legal response within three weeks released a statement that claims they are aware of the lawsuit and that the state’s actions are based on a “misunderstanding”.
