Are those prices that are nudging down at the gas pump a sign of things to come over the rest of the year?
Many experts will tell you the chances are pretty good.
“It’s going top be a very cheap July 4th at the pump–in fact, the cheapest going back to 2005” Gasbuddy dot-com’s Patrick DeHaan told KTSA News. He expects the trend to start picking up steam in the weeks and months ahead.
“In fact, by Christmas, prices could be in the mid one-dollar range” DeHaan said.
While the forecast isn’t the best for those in the oil and gas industry, most drivers will probably like the expected low pressure on their wallets.
“We could certainly rival some of the low prices later this fall and winter that we saw last winter” DeHaan said, though cautioning the ride may be bumpy–given the impact “Brexit” has already had on the crude oil market, and the potential impact hurricane season still might have.
