Former Detention Deputy Indicted

A former Bexar County Detention Deputy is indicted for sexual assault.

A Grand Jury has indicted 35-year old Erick Montez on two charges… sexual assault, and violation of the civil rights of a person.

Those charges stem from an incident last December, where Montez was accused of sexually assaulting a female prisoner inside a Sheriff’s Office van.

He later claimed the sex was consensual, but investigators say surveillance video backs up the prisoner’s claim. If convicted, Montez could face up to twenty years in jail.
