Former San Antonio ISD teacher arrested for sending sexually explicit texts, images to 14 year old student

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A 49 year old middle school teacher with the San Antonio ISD has been arrested for sending sexually explicit messages, images and videos to a 14 year old student.

Lloyd Pegues was taken into custody Thursday. He’s being charged with online solicitation of a minor.

San Antonio Police say they began investigating in June when the student’s parents found out what Pegues was sending to their child.

San Antonio ISD released a statement after Pegues was arrested:

“The individual resigned, and appropriate agencies were notified. He is no longer an employee with SAISD. We want our community to know that the safety and security of our students and staff will always be our utmost priority.”

The district did not release the name of the school where Pegues had been teaching.

At this point, police haven’t found any other victims but they are asking anyone who has information or who may have been a victim to call the Department’s Human Exploitation Unit at 210-207-2370.
