SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A former San Marcos high school teacher is wanted for a sexual relationship he had with a student when he worked as an educator.

San Marcos police say a female victim came forward with a report in November 2018 about a sexual assault that occurred in 2008.  She had been a student at San Marcos High School and had a sexual relationship with a teacher at the school.

Police say that teacher was 34-year-old David Guerrero, who taught English at the school and was an assistant coach for the girls’ soccer team.  The relationship had occurred between June and July of 2008.

Guerrero left the school in 2013 and currently lives in Colorado.

Police issued two arrest warrants for Guerrero Friday on offenses of sexual assault of a child and improper relationship between educator and student.

Investigators say they believe there could be more victims at the school for similar offenses that happened between 2007 and 2013.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to contact San Marcos police at 512-753-2132.
