Former Special Education Aide at Seguin High School arrested for having sex with student

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a former special education aide at Seguin High School.

She accused of having sex with a high school student.

27 year old Kimberly Nelson allegedly had sex with the 16 year old male student in December.

Seguin High School principal Hector Esquivel sent a letter to staff to say Nelson was put on leave as soon as the district learned of the allegations against Nelson.

That happened Tuesday. Nelson resigned Wednesday, the day she was arrested.

Nelson is being held on charges of sexual assault of a child, improper relationship between an educator and a student, and tampering with evidence.

Bond had been set at $175,000.

Deputies are still investigating the charges against Nelson and they’re asking anyone with information to call the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Department at 830-379-1224, ext. 2268.
