Fredericksburg ranks as a top “Charming’ Southern small town

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — If you’re looking for a community that is the perfect embodiment of small town southern charm, a travel website is pointing you to the Texas Hill Country.

Big 7 Travel‘s latest report is on communities people should visit if they want a taste of small town southern hospitality.

Coming in at number 2 nationwide is Fredericksburg, Texas.

The website highlights Fredericksburg’s incredible craft beer and wine scene, the 150 shops and it’s lack of chain stores.

They tell potential visitors that whether they are going for wine, shopping or just to soak up the atmosphere, they’ll leave with a smile.

Coming in at number one of the list of most charming Southern small towns is Beaufort, South Carolina.

One other Texas town made the list. Jefferson in the Eastern part of the state, comes in at number 25.
