Frontier Airlines at SAT bringing back nonstop service to 2 cities

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Travelers that fly out of San Antonio International Airport will see the return of some destination options in a few months.

SAT announced today that Frontier Airlines is bringing back nonstop service to two destinations: Philadelphia and Atlanta.

SAT previously offered non-stop service to Atlanta and Philadelphia but had discontinued it. Airport officials say that nearly 125,000 passengers traveled to both cities from SAT annually before discontinuing the service at the onset of the pandemic.

“Atlanta is served by two carriers, so with the addition of Frontier’s new flight, the 297,000 annual passengers who fly between the two markets will have even more options,” said Brian Pratte, Chief Air Service and Marketing Officer, San Antonio Airport System. “This gives leisure travelers an opportunity to visit some of the popular tourist destinations in the United States.”

Service to Philadelphia will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and will begin June 15. Atlanta flights will leave SAT on Thursday and Friday starting May 26.
