Funeral for fallen San Antonio Firefighter to be held next week

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A firefighter killed in the line of duty this week, will be laid to rest on Thursday.

The San Antonio Fire Department says a public visitation and prayer vigil for Greg Garza will be at the Porter Loring Mortuary on McCullough at 5 P.M Wednesday.

Then on Thursday, a funeral procession and Honor Walk through downtown. The times for those events have been released. The Department is going to release the details on Monday.

Firefighter Garza’s Funeral will be held at noon at Community Bible Church but it will not be open to the public.

Garza , a 17 year SAFD veteran, was killed Tuesday morning. He was struck by a van while responding to a fire call at a hotel near the downtown area.
