Gas Prices Continue to Fall

by Elizabeth Ruiz

As millions hit the road for the busy holiday travel season, they’ll find a pleasant surprise at the gas pumps.

Retail gas prices in Texas and the rest of the country took another dip this week.

AAA Texas reports the average price at the pump statewide is $2.17 a gallon, down 4 cents from last week.

San Antonio drivers, once again, are paying the lowest prices in the state at an average of $2.06 for a gallon of regular unleaded. That’s 4 cents less than last week.

“Most market analysts seem to anticipate that this decline is going to continue at least into the early part of 2018,” said Daniel Armbruster with AAA Texas.

Midland has the most expensive gasoline statewide this week at an average of $2.49 per gallon.
