SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — It’s not due in theaters for another 8 months but the trailer for the next movie in the Ghostbusters franchise is going viral.

The movie “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” is set in Summerville, Oklahoma where a single mother of two has moved. They take up residence in a creepy old house she inherited from a relative.

Turns out, the town has some secrets that cause the family to learn of their ties to the original Ghostbusters.

“Ghostbusters: Afterlife” stars Paul Rudd, McKenna Grace, Finn Wolfhound and Carrie Coon.

While they are not shown in the trailer, the new movie will also feature Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts reprising their roles from the first two Ghostbusters films. Harold Ramis who played Egon Spengler in the 1984 original and the 1989 sequel, passed away in 2014.

“Ghostbusters: Afterlife” is scheduled to be released on July 10, 2020.
