Gov Abbott to break ground at new Catholic school coming to Boerne

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — For the first time in more than 30 years, the San Antonio Catholic Archdiocese will build a new school in the area.

A groundbreaking ceremony for St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School will be happening at 202 W. Kronkosky Street in Boerne on Friday, September 13 beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott will be in attendance, along with Bishop Michael Boulette and other leadership from the City of Boerne.

The new campus will sit on 8.1 acres and comes with a price tag of $28.5 million. Upon completion, the school will have two stories and 44,000 square feet for grades PK-3 through 6th. A middle school and a high school will be built in the future.
