SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A MacArthur High School graduate takes over the CBS Evening News anchor desk Monday night.
Norah O’Donnell will be the third woman, following Connie Chung and Katie Couric to fill the spot that was also held by Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather.
She will also continue her role as a correspondent for 60 Minutes.
This is the latest effort by CBS to gain some ground in the evening news wars.
The Tiffany Network has been stuck in third place, behind ABC and NBC for decades.
O’Donnell was born in in Washington D.C on January 23, 1974.
Her family moved to San Antonio at the age of 3.
