SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office wants residents to be aware of a phone scam.
The Sheriff’s Office is reporting multiple people received phone calls from a person impersonating Deputy Logan Tucker. The scammer is reportedly telling residents they have multiple warrants out for their arrest and attempting to get people to pay for the warrants over the phone.
“It is not standard procedures for any Law Enforcement agency to call you and ask for you to pay for a fee, warrant or other fines over the phone with gift cards or any kind of money transaction,” GSCO said in a social media post.
Officials said that residents who receive this phone call should immediately hang up and call law enforcement.
