Guadalupe Sheriff’s Office nabs driver with kilo of cocaine

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A 26-year old man was arrested on felony drug charges after a traffic stop in Guadalupe County on Friday.

Omar Davila was speeding through a construction zone in the 7800 block on I-10 West when he was pulled over, the Seguin Gazette reports.

The deputy discovered the kilogram of cocaine with the assistance of K-9 Officer Eddie.

The 1.1 kilo of cocaine has a street value of $40,000, officials said.

He was charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 greater than 400 grams and booked into the Guadalupe County Jail. He was released Saturday on a $50,000 bond.
