Gunshot victim found lying in downtown San Antonio street

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A man is expected to recover after he was gunned down on a downtown San Antonio street.

Police got the call at around 2:30 A.M. Tuesday from Avenue E and 3rd Street.

A man in his 20’s was lying in the middle of the street.

At first, the officers thought the man had been hit by a car but they soon found out he had been shot in the back.

He was rushed to a hospital where he is in stable condition.

Investigators are still working the case and are trying to determine why the man was shot and who pulled the trigger.

They interviewed some people who were nearby who said they heard gunshots but didn’t see anything.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
