Hail Damage Claims Pouring In

It’s been a busy week for insurance companies in Texas, like State Farm.

“Over the past week, we’ve had a significant number of claims,” State Farm’s Chris Pilcic told KTSA News. And he may be understating it a bit.

“Since Monday, in Texas, primarily impacting Plano, Wylie, and San Antonio, we’ve had over 15,000 auto claims and over 6,000 home claims,” he said.

It’s thanks to two storms, one that his North Texas and the hailstorm down here. And he said after Tuesday the number jumped.

“Once you know you have damage and it can be severe to minor roof damage, and you might be on the fence and not really know for sure, have a conversation with someone you trust,” Pilcic said. “Call your agent, say ‘I think I do have damage,’ you want to start the process.”
