About That Hillary “Body Double” Story…

US Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton leaves her daughter's apartment building after resting on September 11, 2016, in New York. Clinton departed from a remembrance ceremony on the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks after feeling "overheated," but was later doing "much better," her campaign said. / AFP / Brendan Smialowski (Photo credit should read BRENDAN SMIALOWSKI/AFP/Getty Images)

Does Hillary Clinton use a body double?

Politics and entertainment have blurred and merged to the point where it would be just as sensible for a leading politician to use one as it would be for a leading lady on the big screen.

But it does sound like a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory (THCT).

Except…Hillary Clinton’s pattern of lies drives people who never even click on, much less give credence, to THCTs to wonder.

And ever since Sunday, wonder is trending:

Overheated on a 78 degree day. Secret pneumonia diagnosis. “Overheated”. “Dehydrated”. Taken to her daughter’s apartment instead of a hospital. Emerges 90 minutes later walking around on the sidewalk by herself, with no one nearby, for a 69-year-old woman who had just collapsed? No thought given to the precaution of putting someone near her?  Security nowhere nearby. Are naps this refreshing for pneumonia patients? And why was her doctor (apparently) accompanying her to the 9/11 ceremony? And standing right next to her when she took ill?

Then there are the photos—people are saying the Hillary Clinton who emerged from Chelsea’s pad looks thinner and shorter than the Clinton we usually see.

Sounds like a stretch to me.

But it worked for Julian and Joaquin!

And if you’re willing to do anything to win the presidency…

Who’s to blame for THCTs about Hillary Clinton? Right wing derangement?

Or is it the person who spearheads a non-stop system of lies, obstruction and cover-ups?

That would be Hillary Clinton
