Home on San Antonio’s Southeast side a total loss after early morning fire

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A close call for two Southeast side residents and their dog Tuesday morning after their home caught fire while they were sleeping.

Firefighters were called to the 1900 block of East Highland Boulevard at around 6 A.M.

The fire broke out in the back porch area and it was spreading fast by the time a neighbor spotted the flames and alerted the people inside.

They both got out safely along with their dog.

Arson investigators were called to the scene to look for the exact cause. The home is a total loss.
