Homeless woman rescued after dumpster she was sleeping in emptied into garbage truck

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A homeless woman is expected to be okay after the dumpster she was sleeping in was emptied into a garbage truck.

San Antonio police say at around 3 a.m. Wednesday, they were called to Vance Jackson Road by the dump truck driver.

He told officers he heard the woman screaming when he activated the trash compactor.

Firefighters arrived on the scene and had to dig though a big pile of trash to rescue the woman.

Her name hasn’t been released and officials say she wasn’t seriously injured.
