Honorary escort accompanies body of Bexar County Sheriff’s deputy
San Antonio (KTSA News) – The body of a Bexar County Sheriff’s deputy who was killed in a traffic accident in San Patricio County is back in San Antonio. Deputies provided an honor escort for 20-year-old Noah Calderon from Sinton, Texas to San Antonio Friday.
Calderon and his fiancée were killed when their vehicle was hit by an eighteen-wheeler Wednesday night in San Patricio County. Calderon’s 13-year-old brother survived the crash and was airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio.
Calderon was only 18-years old when he became a deputy two years ago, and Sheriff Javier Salazar describes him as a leader who had great potential. Calderon’s father is a BCSO patrol sergeant.
