Houston area man found dead in San Marcos apartment

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A man was found dead in a San Marcos apartment Wednesday morning.

San Marcos police say someone who lived at the Village of Telluride apartment complex found a dog running loose and followed it to an apartment.  At the apartment, that person noticed the door had been kicked in.

When police got to the scene, they found 23-year-old Demarcus Allen of Pasadena dead inside the apartment.

Police say they are interviewing two people who were upstairs in the apartment and an additional roommate.

This death is the fifth homicide in San Marcos so far this year.
