Husband admits to killing his wife, body found decapitated outside Houston

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Waller County Sheriff’s Office is announcing the arrest of a man accused of murdering his wife, which created a scene described by law enforcement as “gruesome.”

Investigators say 21-year-old Jared Dicus was arrested after deputies found the remains of his wife in the couple’s home. According to Sheriff Troy Guidry, the body of 21-year-old Anggy Diaz was found dismembered, leaving blood all over the home.

According to reports, the couple lived in a small home on property owned by Dicus’ parents. The Waller County Sheriff’s Office says one of the parents called 911 for help when they found Diaz’s body after Dicus said something that gave them concern.

KPRC-TV is reporting that Dicus admitted to investigators he killed his wife, who was reportedly from Nicaragua.

Dicus is now charged with first-degree murder and his bond is set at $500,000.
