SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Hold the beef and hold the bacon. Orders with no meat they’re making.
Burger King is reporting their plant-based Impossible Whopper is going nationwide.
The meatless option is coming off a 6 week trial run that BK is calling a success. When grilled about how many of the burgers they sold, the company didn’t let us in on that info.
They do say more people are entering their stores.
The company that makes the burgers for Burger King and White Castle, Impossible Foods, is saying they’re having a tough time keeping up with demand for the Impossible burgers. They’ve doubled their workforce but still can’t keep up with demand.
It’s about to get busier for them. Burger King’s nationwide roll out of the Impossible Whopper is next week.
They’ll be available at 7,000 U.S. locations but for a limited time.
