SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Bexar County Deputies have located an inmate who was released improperly.

It happened at around 5:45 Thursday morning when 57 year old Esequiel Hernandez was released on bond.

His court order stated that he was supposed to be transferred to Haven for Hope as part of his PR bond but the Sheriff’s Office Booking Staff didn’t arrange for his transfer.

So Hernadez was set free.

The Fugitive Apprehension Unit was sent out to look for him. They located Hernandez near General McMullen and West Commerce at around 10 this morning.

He was brought to Haven for Hope.

There’s an internal investigation underway and the Texas Commission on Jail Standards has been notified.

Hernadez was being held on a DWI charge.
