Ira Lee Rd Closure Begins Monday

A portion of Ira Lee Road between I-410 and Laurens Lane on the northeast side closes starting Monday.

It’ll be closed for about a year. It’s part of a $3.5M project to improve the low water crossing and reduce flooding near Salado Creek at Ira Lee Road.

A bridge will be built and channel improvements are planned to help remove about 100 apartments in the area from the 100 year flood plain.

Detours will be in place.
