Our country is learning the verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial.  Rightly or wrongly, it’s seen as  wider verdict, not just a finding of the facts in a specific case.

We worry about what will happen, and who will do what.

It’s hard not to notice the vacuum of responsible moral leadership in this moment. Everyone’s entitled to his opinion, but where are the voices of calm?
