JetBlue to start nonstop service from San Antonio to New York City, Boston in late 2021

BEXAR COUNTY (KTSA News) — JetBlue is entering the San Antonio market, beginning service from San Antonio International Airport to Boston and New York City in October.

The announcement came during a news conference at the airport Wednesday afternoon.

“Today is an exciting day as we not only welcome a phenomenal new airline partner in JetBlue but also new nonstop service to Boston and New York.  Boston has been our largest unserved market for many years and we’re thrilled that JetBlue is planting its roots in San Antonio to offer more options to our traveling public,” said Jesus H. Saenz, Jr., IAP, Director of Airports, San Antonio Airport System.

The airport said more than 250,000 travelers flew to Boston and New York City before the pandemic, highlighting the interest in nonstop options to both cities from San Antonio International Airport.

Flights to Boston and New York City will run daily and are scheduled to begin in October.

In addition to San Antonio, JetBlue is adding the following cities to its service map:

  • Nashville (to LGA)
  • Kansas City (to JFK & BOS)
  • Milwaukee (to JFK & BOS)
  • New Orleans (to LGA)
  • Jacksonville (to LGA)
  • Sarasota-Bradenton, FL (to LGA)
  • Savannah, GA (to LGA)
  • Asheville, NC (to BOS)
  • Portland, ME (to LGA)
  • Vancouver, Canada (to JFK, BOS [seasonal])
  • San Pedro Sula, Honduras (to JFK)
  • Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (to JFK)
