Joaquin Taking a Look at 2018 Senate Run

One of the Castro boys might be setting up a 2018 Senate run.

On CBS This Morning Tuesday, Julian and Joaquin were asked which would challenge Ted Cruz in 2018.

Julian’s response: “Right now, that’s not in our plans to run in Texas.”

Then, Joaquin jumped in: “Well, he’s speaking for himself.”

The Congressman then said this: “I’m going to take a look at it in 2018, I’ll take a look at that and other opportunities…I’ve never been somebody that said ‘in two year, I’ve absolutely got to run for Senate or Governor,’ but I’ll take a look at it.”

What about replacing Debbie Wasserman-Schultz as chair of the party?

“I have no interest in that,” Julian said.

“You never say never, but it hasn’t been on my radar,” Joaquin said.
