Judas Priest’s “50 Heavy Metal Years” tour coming to San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) —  Judas Priest has announced their 50th anniversary tour and there’s good news for fans in the Alamo City.

The legendary metal band sent out a press release this week that claims they are “primed and ready to deliver the goods” with their “50 Heavy Metal Years anniversary celebration stage show spectacular”.

It’s a 24-date tour that begins September 9th in Maryland and on October 6th, the band will be here in San Antonio with a show at the Freeman Coliseum.

Judas Priest formed in England in 1969. The band got it’s name from the Bob Dylan song “The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest”.

Judas Priest  recorded it’s first album “Rocka Rolla” in 1974 and is currently working on its 19th studio album.
