SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Senator Kamala Harris has dropped out of the Presidential race and one of her opponents feels it’s an unfortunate move.

In a video posted on Twitter, Julian Castro explains why he feels the Senator was treated unfairly by the media during her White House run.

“I will say….that…the way that the media had treated Senator Harris…in this campaign…has been something else. Uhh, in the last few days to see articles out of Politico, The New York Times, Washington Post… that have basically trashed her campaign and focused on just one small part of it. And I think held her to a different standard…a double standard…has been grossly unfair and unfortunate. I’m glad she’s going to keep fighting in the United States Senate.”

Castro went on to say he and the Senator share a common vision for the future of the country and that he’s glad she will continue fighting in the United States Senate.

Meanwhile, Castro’s campaign says they had their best fundraising day of the quarter on Tuesday.

They say man contributions came in with the average being $17 per contribution.
