Kansas and .38 Special to play Real Life Amphitheater in Selma

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A classic rock double header is coming to the San Antonio area in August.

Two great bands that enjoyed chart and sales success in the 70’s and 80’s, Kansas and .38 Special are scheduled to play at the Real Life Amphitheater in Selma, August 20.

Kansas former 50 years ago and released their first album in 1974 after playing small clubs throughout their home state for years.

It was 1976 when the band finally broke nationwide with the album “Leftoverture” which featured the band’s first big hit song “Carry On Wayward Son”. The band continued into the 80’s with the classic albums “Point Of No Return”, “Monolith” and “Vinyl Confessions”.

Also on the August 20th bill is .38 Special.

Formed in Jacksonville in 1975, the band enjoyed massive radio airplay in the 1980’s with “Hold On Loosely”, “Caught Up In You” and “Back Where You Belong”.

Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday, May 6 at 10 A.M.
