SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A 34-year-old woman was killed when her car was struck by a stolen car early Friday morning in Leon Valley.

Leon Valley police say they got a call about a stolen white Chevrolet sedan at around 7:10 a.m.  Police contacted OnStar, which let officers know where the car was.

Officers spotted the car in the 6800 block of Bandera Road and followed the car until the driver started behaving erratically.  At that point, about 45 minutes after the initial stolen car report, police say they tried to stop the driver, but they refused.

The driver then accelerated and officers lost sight of them.  The eventually saw the stolen car had collided into four other vehicles near Misty Way.  The driver tried to run away, but officers promptly arrested him.

The driver of a Toyota sedan the stolen vehicle struck first, 34-year-old Gabrielle Davila — was pronounced dead at the scene.  Her female passenger was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Two other drivers were taken to area hospitals for non-threatening injuries in good condition.  A fourth driver was not injured.

The name of the suspect is expected to be released after he is processed.
