Let’s Remember What Winning and Losing Look Like

Everyone is putting it like this: Craig Sager lost his battle with cancer.

Excuse me, but I think he won it.

Four decades in broadcasting, most of it with Turner/TBS. Three years handling the bitch that is leukemia with hope, humor and grace.

No one got to, and brought us, Popovich, like Sager.

Mentally quick, a vital and versatile sideline reporter for NBA , NCAA and MLB games. Unafraid to ask the questions someone needed to.

He even put in a stint as Willie the Wildcat, Northwestern’s mascot, during his college days.

Which turned out to be the least of his surprising sartorial choices.

I know his family, friends and fans will miss him. I will miss him.

But let’s call this man’s life what it is:
