SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A fire sparked by a lightning strike was stopped before it could cause damage to a nearby SAWS facility on the South side.

The San Antonio Fire Department says they were called to the 4500 block of Hardy Road at around 9 P.M. Monday.

The fire was spreading quickly but crews were able to get it under control.

There was extra concern as there is an oil tank nearby.

No injuries were reported and SAWS says customers will not experience any service interruptions because of the fire.
