SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The lockout at Mac Arthur High School has been lifted as of 2:45 pm.  Principal Peter Martinez sent out an email explaining the threat was of a possible weapon but it was not on campus.  The school went into lockout to prevent any risk to the students.  Martinez says they were able to have the school secured in less than 3 minutes.

Martinez informed parents of the lockout with an email that was sent at around 1PM.

“We have received reports that a student who is not supposed to be at school, may plan to come to campus with a possible weapon. We have secured our buildings, we have extra police officers on hand, and we have issued a lockout, which means students are staying inside with all doors locked. I will keep you informed as needed. “

He also asked parents to not go to the campus. Nobody was allowed to leave the building or come on campus during the lock out.
